To create a custom report template it is important to first understand Tags.

Tag is a label containing data fields associated with a specific object, e.g., damage or asset, and its properties. Tags from report template are substituted by data from inspection file in a resulting report.

We offer two types of tags for report template configuration:

  • General tags are those supported by, give you a flexibility in designing a report template specific to your organization or even inspection.
  • Special tags are aimed on providing user with the ability to get complex, standardized information about inspection, and are associated with the STRUCINSPECT report components.

Up to date information about tags list and purpose can be found here:

  1. Go to one of the following pages:
    1. “Reports” under an inspection
    2. “Report templates” under organization Admin console.
  2. Click the "Report guide" button
  3. Review the tabs with information in the opened right panel:

    2. General tags
    3. Special tags.
  4. You may notice that most of the tags include [] brackets. These tags cannot be used as is. You need to put into the brackets repetition indicators like [i] and [i+1]. Also, sorting info can be added there.
